Our client is a leading international Engineering firm, which provides integrating solutions & technological services for oil & gas companies. The Firm is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Hydraulic Senior Technician for its offshore operations.
Job description
The Qualified Candidate will be in charge of maintenance operations within his field of competence,and also with a guaranty that a good level of availability of the equipment he is maintained for on production sites and play a predominant role in the transfer of skills to personnel undergoing training by on site mentoring.
He or she reports to the Mechanical Supervisor.
Responsibilities
§ Organizes on site the required maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility: in particular for hydraulic systems Framo pump, cranes, HPU, tensioning system…
§ Support the planning team by giving any technical assistance for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
§ Assists specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC),
§ Monitors and ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
§ Manages interventions using the CMMS and checks intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field,
§ Monitors the functioning of equipment placed under his responsibility,
§ Takes in charge the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status
§ Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them and suggests improvements. Keeps a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programmes and, if need be, suggests improvements,
§ Warns support teams of any recurring
Qualifications and experience
§ Chartered Engineer (A-levels + 5 years’ study) or Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels
§ Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent,
§ 5 to 10 years’ experience in the maintenance field of hydraulic systems
§ Specific professional knowledge: SAP/R3 experience and know-how
§ Ability to lead and motivate multi-national teams. Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
§ Working language: English.
§ Must have a proven sense of responsibility and talent for management.
§ Must be rigorous and methodical in his approach to operations, show common sense and be able to anticipate and analyze issues.
§ A natural, flexible authority is essential.
