Job description
Competency Domain Area Manager – Core MSS
1. Nature of job
The Competence Domain Area Manager key role is to build up and provide competences according to presales and delivery assignments, and to drive the establishment and ongoing development of a professional service culture driving customer satisfaction and innovation.
2. Levels of Authority:
HR Authority: Line Management of Competence Domain Area.
Budget Responsibility Direct Budget Responsibility
Financial Authority Cost Center Manager
Impact of Decision Impact on Department
Reports to Head of Competence Domain (CD)
3. Impact
Manage unit dimensioning together with Head of CD in accordance with agreed resource requirements determined by TP&I&D
Implement processes, methods and tools in accordance with requirements
Build up competence in accordance with agreed OC2 plan. Develop and retain key talents.
Competence and resource management activities i.e. current situation vs. plan with associated actions to reach agreed plan. Accountable to provide the Core MSS & UDC projects with the required competences.
Provides organizational structure, strategic direction and leadership/motivation to facilitate an efficient and focused operation, allowing the Company to meet its commitments and financial objectives.
Main Responsibilities
Know his/her business: Major Core MSS&UDC projects, major opportunities, major trouble projects.
Drive the establishment and ongoing development of a professional service culture driving customer satisfaction, innovation and an outcome driven focus.
Operative delivery planning based on opportunities in MORE
Manage KPI’s – Utilization, Billability, Cost Per available Hour, Absorption, Employee Satisfaction and all relevant KPI’s.
Ensure that all HR process, for his/here’s unit, are followed across the region
To understand the business needs and requirement, manage a solid communication link to KAM’s and Program manager’s.
-up on ongoing assignments with respect to progress, financials (invoicing), staffing and Quality of services delivered, and if needed act on issues.
Performance follow-up (Balanced Scorecard Targets) and improvement plan.
Manage budgeting, budget follow-up and corrective actions.
Drive Knowledge Management/Sharing
Responsible to support the Core MSS & UDC projects by delivering competences, services and participating actively in steering meetings and project toll gates.
Responsible to support the Core MSS & UDC business opportunities.
Qualifications Requirement
4. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computers or Sciences.
Pertinent Experience: At least five (5) years of pertinent experience with two (2) to three (3) years of related managerial experience (Service Delivery).
Competence:Fluent in English – Verbal as well as in writing
